Reviews about Landmark Heating and Cooling
- ★ ★ ☆ ☆ ☆July 03, 2020, by BrianI had nothing but a terrible experience when dealing with this company purchasing propane. At first everything was fine. They quoted me my price and I wanted to pay up front, but they just continued to be insistent on getting me locked in contract price. This was fall of 2014... Propane prices had been falling and continued to do so. I paid $1.79 per gallon. I have a 500 gal. tank filled on 11/25/14. It was empty by 1/2/15. It was not even cold through the month of December. Walking up to the tank you could smell gas, and it was noticeable. They came out and leaked checked the tank and said everything was fine. We used it all. Did we want it filled or not. The driver/filler had terrible customer service. He told me we had a shitty heater and he has seen them before and it was our heater that was the problem. At first he said it was on 80% efficient. When I called in to inquire about this I got the same treatment from the office staff, but now my heater was 60% efficient and they could not provide record of how much the tank had been filled over the last 15-20 years it has been on this property. The heating unit itself is fine. We had just has Action Heating & Cooling out and did a full PM on the unit. They told everything was good to go. Landmark still insisted that there were no leaks and the old rusty tank and regulator was fine. The regulator had been replaced the prior fall by landmark. This property was a foreclosure that we purchased in July of 2014. The bank wanted to machine sure the heat system worked in the shop area where we now run our business. I could go on about all unprofessionalism and run around answers we got, but this is getting long in the tooth. We ended up getting a new tank out here with Ferrell gas and guess what? It’s been almost two months and it’s been way colder and we are just now getting into the red on the regulator gauge. Unfortunately we still have a temporary tank out here with Landmark that we need to use until spring and that has to be refilled. They would not let us only do 200 gallons even though we told them it was a temp tank and was only needed until May. Made us take 300 gallons @ 1.79 even though we paid up front. Filled our other tank with Ferrell for $1.65 a gallon. My suggestion would be if you need new service do not go with these guys and if you are already using them.... Go look around you can probably get a better deal!
